Tips for Attending Your First Blogging Conference

In 2016, I attended my first-ever blogging conference in Charleston, South Carolina.  I had no idea what to expect, let alone how to pack or prepare for a blogging conference.  I am so excited to be attending my fifth blogging conference in Atlanta later this month with The Blog Societies, and wanted to share a few tips for attending your first blogging conference if you have never been to one.  You will gain so many amazing new ‘blogger besties’ and meet a lot of other #girlbosses and creative entrepreneurs.  Not to mention, the information I have learned has proven to be invaluable.  Everyone is nervous, but as with anything, it is what you make of it.  Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and enjoy! During our Spanish excursion this spring, we made a half-day trip to the beautiful country, Andorra.  Andorra is an independent principality located between France and Spain, and is surrounded by the Pyrenees mountains.  It is absolutely beautiful.  We started the morning by hiking up the mountains then wandered around the downtown area.

Andorra is a tiny country with two main divisions- the old quarter and new quarter.  The old quarter of Andorra is very charming.  Gorgeous cottage-style homes and buildings are surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains.  We spent the morning exploring the Santa Coloma Church and circular bell tower, then stopped by some of the quaint shops, all while enjoying the views of the mountains.  We ate Mexican for lunch- this was near the end of our trip and we were dying for some Mexican food!  After lunch, we walked over to the new quarter in Andorra la Vella to check out the boutiques and shopping centers on Meritxell Avenue, where many of the shops are duty-free.  If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend it!  I wish we had more time to explore.  Andorra is a 4-hour bus ride from Barcelona and is totally worth a visit! Happy Monday!  I love white work dresses for the office in the spring and summer months.

Coco Chanel once said, “women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”

I love this quote and could not agree more.  Here are a few white work dresses I’m loving lately.  They are so pretty, chic and feminine.  Oh, and the best part?  Most of these dresses are under $50! Read More

Happy Monday!!  One of my goals for 2019 has been to learn more about the women justices on the U.S. Supreme Court.  I love reading non-fiction books on business and personal development, as well as books and biographies about successful people I admire.  I recently listened to a couple of  audiobooks about Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman appointed to the High Court, and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  Wow, talk about some major boss ladies and lady lawyer book inspiration. Good morning!  For today’s blog post, I wanted to feature Bilbao, one of my favorite cities on our Spanish adventures this spring.  Located in the northern part of Spain, Bilbao is a hub of art and architecture, and home to several famous museums and amazing sites.  Bilbao won the 2018 European City of the Year!  After spending a half-day exploring some of what the city has to offer, I can definitely see why!  If you ever get a chance to visit, be sure to check out these sites: Read More
